ARROWS

Did this a couple of weeks ago. I was catching up on Brandon Graham & Co's Prophet series at the time, so clearly drawing inspiration from there.

Giannis Milonogiannis is one of the artists that's been working on the series and i'm in love with his work. Fantastic style and energy! Check it out.

Man of Steel teaser has hit. Zack Snyder generally makes decent (300) to good (Legend of the Guardians) films (Suckerpunch notwithstanding) so i'm remaining positive. Hopefully the whole thing ain't in slow motion, be nice to see Supes moving at super speed. At the very least it'll be puuuurty!

WHOOPSIE

This is a concept illustration for a doll i made last year for a TAFE project. The doll has since fallen to pieces (quality workmanship!) but i got some pics i'll put up soon. It came out alright, though this picture is was my favourite part of the project i think.

Watercolours & pen. Whoopsie was actually the name of the clown my Dad used to perform as!

Linework...

I pencilled then inked this this morning. I knew i was going to add colour to this at some point, but i ended up going a bit overboard with the watercolours. The original linework just didn't hold up and it looked muddy. So i had a crack at it with charcoal when it dried. Came out quite nicely in the end. You can see the final version here. Annoyingly i lost a bit of detail in the characters expression, but i feel the overall feel of the image works more.
